From December 19th to 21st, 2025, Dien Bien province will host the 9th Vietnam-Laos-China Three-Country Ball-Throwing Festival – an international cultural, sports, and tourism exchange event, contributing to strengthening solidarity and friendship between the people of the three countries along the border.

With the spirit of "Unity, Friendship – Deepening Borderland Affection – Developing Together," this year's festival promises to offer many unique, vibrant, and culturally rich programs. During the event, visitors and locals will be able to participate in a series of traditional cultural and artistic activities; ethnic costume performances; exhibitions of OCOP products and highland cuisine; cultural camps; and many unique experiential activities of the ethnic groups in Dien Bien province. In addition, exciting sporting events such as the Pu To Co Peak Climbing Race, the 2025 Dien Bien Province Youth Cross-Country Race, and many traditional folk games will take place, creating an atmosphere of excitement and attracting a large number of people and athletes from within and outside the province.

Currently, all levels, sectors, and localities are actively preparing infrastructure, ensuring security and order, environmental hygiene, and traffic safety to provide visitors with a safe, civilized, and enriching festival experience.
